Climate Change Petition

Attached please find a Micah Australia Climate Change petition.  This is a combined Church initiative.  Caritas Australia is a member of Micah Australia.   The petition in Ballarat is being coordinated by Bronwen James who will receive signatures until June 30.  They will then be presented to Hon. Catherine King, MP to represent Ballarat.  Caritas resources for parishes and schools can be found on the Caritas website

 
National Reconciliation Week

National Reconciliation Week started with National Healing Day May 26 (National Sorry Day); May 27 to June 3 National Reconciliation Week. The theme for the week is "Let's Take the Next Steps", working towards just and respectful relationships between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people.

Significant anniversaries: 50th anniversary of the 1967 Referendum and 25th anniversary of “Mabo Day”.  More information can be found here.
