National Church Life Survey 2016

NATIONAL CHURCH LIFE
SURVEY 2016

The National Church Life Survey is a collaborative partnership of Christian churches focusing on parish life and the positive contributions faith communities make.

The survey is held every five years and the information gathered is sent to each parish as a comprehensive analysis of the strengths and vitality of their community.  Support and follow up programs and resources are available to assist parishes to use the survey results effectively.

The 2016 National Church Life Survey is being held at Masses/Assemblies on one weekend in October or November and takes 20 minutes to complete.  The survey form is designed specifically for Catholic Parishes.  Following the survey, a comprehensive report and analysis will be prepared separately for each parish that participates (available Easter 2017.)

In order that data is collected in a sample range of parishes across each diocese, the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference are fully subsidising eight Ballarat Diocese parishes to participate in the survey.  This includes receiving the parish report and analysis.  The eight parishes have been selected randomly.  They will each be notified this week.  Other parishes who wish to participate will be charged a standard fee of $250 plus a cost per survey form ordered.  The NCLS has posted initial information to parishes in recent weeks and there is more information available on www.2016ncls.org.au  Please register and order forms by the end of June.

Amanda Smith is the local contact person if you have queries, ph. 53377125 or email Amanda.

Please note, there is an option for small parishes to do a ‘combined’ survey.
