The Resource Centre is located on the ground floor of the Ballarat Diocesan Offices, and provides a centralised resource service for the total faith formation of the Ballarat Diocese.
The Centre provides access to a large collection of books, periodicals, videos, DVDs and CDs, which are all available for borrowing.
The collection of some 8,000 items has grown considerably over the past thirty years and now boasts a purpose-built permanent home, staffed by a full-time Resource Officer.
Resources have been selected to support teachers, catechists, pastoral workers, priests, religious, tertiary students and the wider Catholic community in areas such as:-
“Awakenings” (Ballarat Diocesan R.E. Guidelines), Bible studies, moral choices, spirituality, comparative religions, prayer, Church and religious history; and issues such as bullying, environment, refugees, stolen generation and reconciliation.
Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm
Everyone most welcome
Books may be borrowed for 4 weeks (excluding days of travel)
Videos, DVDs and CD’s may be borrowed for 1 week (excluding days of travel)
Resources may be collected from the Resource Centre Monday to Friday
or
if you live out of town we will post the requested material to you.
Drop them in at 5 Lyons Street South, Ballarat
or post them to the Diocesan Resource Centre, PO Box 576, Ballarat 3353
Please be considerate of other borrowers and return your resources by the due date.
Loans may be renewed if item has not been requested by another borrower.
