Our Parish

ST MARY'S PARISH ROBINVALE

“St. Mary’s Parish is in a town with a population of about 6000 people including the surrounding areas. There are sixty-one nationalities in the area. The Parish School is a p-8 with about 210 students in it.

The Parish for decades has a strong Italian community as well as a strong Caucasian one. In recent years we have gained people from Tonga who have a Tongan Priest visiting them every two months. There are also people from India, Ireland, Papua New Guinea,Vietnam and China. In the town and other areas there is a big Aboriginal Community as well.

The other main part of our Parish is Manangatang which is about 60 kilometres away. The area generally is a big grape growing area consisting of table and wine grapes.”
