Formation for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
and Formation for Lectors
at St Mary’s Church Donald
on Sunday, August 18, 2024.

| 12.40pm | Introduction by Bishop Paul based on the letter Pope Francis issued on the liturgical formation of the People of God |
| 1.30pm – 2.30pm | Workshop: Formation for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion – presented by Dr Susan Crowe For the development of ministers who assist with the distribution of Holy Communion in the diocese. Presentation includes theological and practical information for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. |

Workshop: Formation for Lectors- presented by Bishop Paul Bird CSsR
The ministry of Lector (often called reader) is that of proclaiming the Word of God. The quality of the proclamation determines whether the assembly is helped or hindered in its listening to the Word. This workshop will explore the practicalities of proclaiming the Word.
