Proclaim Conference 2018
The Brisbane Archdiocese hosted the national Proclaim Conference from 12-14 July. PROCLAIM 2018 focused on inspiring, equipping and encouraging parishes and Catholic communities to engage in Evangelisation and Renewal. The theme of this year’s Conference was “Make your home in me” (Jn 15:4). More info is available here.

BBI eConference:  Synodality in Practice: Listening to the Spirit and Leading Change
The 14th National eConference will focus on engaging communities around Australia in a landmark discussion around the future vision and direction for the Catholic Church in this country.  This eConference can be viewed at the Ballarat Cathedral Parish Mackillop & Glowrey Rooms on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 10.00am - 3.00pm.   All are welcome to attend.  BYO lunch.

Pastoral Care Education
An exciting opportunity for education and formation in Pastoral Care, with the option to have a CPE unit recognised as 30 points should you wish to enrol in theological studies with the University of Divinity, is now available in regional Victoria.

The South West Victoria CPE Centre is registered through the Association for Supervised and Clinical Pastoral Education Victoria (ASACPEV Inc.) and supported by an advisory group, Frs Gerry Prunty, John Fitzgerald and Paddy Mugavin.   Bernadette Wurlod is the Clinical Pastoral Supervisor and CPE Centre Director.

An eLibrary of Catholic resources that has been made available with the support of Catholic Mission Australia.  The initiative is called the Sharing the Word Project. The eLibrary can be accessed here

Mary Coloe PBVM is a Presentation Sister and a Scripture scholar and teacher of international repute. In the interests of adult education in Scripture Mary has developed a one page website that gives details on her books and articles. Click here for more info.

Last year a new version of the book At Home with God’s People – our Catholic Faith was published. It is a wonderful resource for new and refreshing Catholics and RCIA.  Has information, prayers, and discussion questions on all the key topics.

Journey Catholic Radio 94.1FM
The Journey is a weekly program developed by the Catholic Diocese of Wollongong aired on a growing number of Christian Radio Stations around Australia. The Journey includes a variety of weekly inputs including Wisdom from the Abbey with Sr Hilda Scott & Bruce Downes the Catholic Guy inspires you to Dream. There are great tips for vibrant marriages, a section on Healthy Christian Living, and a segment on parenting. Each week, there is a reflection on the Sunday Gospel reading. JCRadioAdd to that some great music and interviews with people doing amazing things right around the globe and you’ve got a show that is all about faith, hope, love and life.
