Parish News

On Sunday, February 1, Mass was celebrated at St Mary’s Church in Sea Lake. With our parish priest, Fr James Kerr, currently away in Rome on sabbatical, we have been blessed with visiting clergy to celebrate Mass with us. On this particular weekend, we had the pleasure of welcoming Bishop Paul, who joined us for the 8.30am Mass—something for which we were all very grateful.

Bishop Paul offered a comforting and heartfelt homily (though we’re not sure how many T‑shirts might be printed after it, Bishop Paul!).

After Mass, parishioners enjoyed a cuppa and a catch‑up together. Unfortunately, Bishop Paul was unable to stay long, as he needed to return to Swan Hill for his next Mass.

A sincere thank you to Bishop Paul from all of us in the parish, and for his ongoing guidance and support in overseeing our needs. We offer him our best wishes for his retirement—may it be filled with good health, joy, and God’s abundant blessings.

We were also pleased to have parishioners in attendance from Culgoa, Berriwillock, Sea Lake, and Nandaly, reminding us once again of the strength and unity within our wider faith community.
