On Friday, March 20, the Trinity College Colac school community came together to recognise the important role of the CFA and their ongoing commitment to protecting communities during bushfires and emergencies. To support recovery efforts, student leaders organised a Bushfire Recovery Fundraiser, with proceeds donated to BlazeAid. The lunchtime event featured live music and house activities, with strong student involvement, including some brave Year 7 performers.
We were pleased to welcome Mark Billing, Sam Simpson, and Lachlan Sutherland from the Larpent CFA, who provided a hands-on experience for students with the fire truck and hoses. In the afternoon, Year 10 leaders delivered student-made slices to BlazeAid volunteers in Kawarren, where they were warmly received by Coordinator Steve Matthews. We are proud to support those who support our community.
