Recently, staff at Lumen Christi Primary School in Delacombe gathered for a meaningful Retreat Day centred on the theme, “Building Paths of Peace, Planting Seeds of Hope.” Religious Education Leader Andrea and Sarah Page from DOBCEL organised and facilitated this retreat for school staff.
Spending time walking on country and in nature, staff reflected on the Creation Story and explored ways to nurture and care for the common home. Through prayer, discussion and quiet reflection, the day provided an opportunity to consider how each person, individually and collectively, can continue to contribute as active members of the Earthcare Schools community.
It was described as a thoughtful and enriching experience. The retreat offered a valuable opportunity for staff to deepen their understanding of eco-spirituality and their shared responsibility to care for God’s creation.
