A DOBCEL delegation recently shared the Diocese of Ballarat’s innovations in education with a global audience at the Education Systems Summit in Turku, Finland in August 18-21, 2026. Leaders representing DOBCEL and two Ballarat schools, St Patrick’s Primary School and St Alipius Parish School, presented DOBCEL’s Collaborative Innovation Research Prototypes (CIRPs), highlighting the system-wide improvement work taking place across the Diocese.
The delegation also connected with educators and researchers from Finland, Norway, Denmark and Canada, and visited local schools to explore different approaches to teaching and learning. The opportunity reflects growing recognition of DOBCEL’s improvement work and reinforces the value of global collaboration in supporting positive outcomes for students, staff and school communities.
