Parish News
On Friday, November 28, St Mary’s Primary School Swan Hill Year 1 students, together with Parish Priest Fr James Kerr, led the whole school in an Advent liturgy. The students were amazing, sharing prayers, readings and reflections that reminded us all about the special season of Advent and the hope we feel as we wait for Jesus’ birth. The children spoke clearly, listened carefully and showed great reverence throughout the liturgy.
It certainly felt like Christmas was just around the corner after this liturgy, with children dressed in their favourite Christmas colours.
A huge thank you to their teachers for helping them prepare and to our families for coming along to join in our special celebration and supporting our casual dress day.
We raised over $500 to purchase presents for the parish Christmas tree. These gifts will be delivered to St Vincent de Paul to help support families in need over Christmas. It was a beautiful start to our Advent journey!
