Alumni from the Class of 1980–1985 returned to Trinity College Colac on Saturday, November 29 for a special reunion and the opening of the Butterfly Solace Garden. The garden recognises the journey, hardship, and hope of former students impacted by historical child abuse at the College.

At its centre is an artwork depicting the lifecycle of a butterfly, created by former student and local artist Gavan Serle. The Butterfly Solace Garden stands as a symbol of courage and hope, while acknowledging the wrongs of the past. It was a meaningful opportunity to reconnect, honour our history, and reflect on the legacy of our past students.
