Parish News
On Sunday October 11, the faith community of St John the Baptist, Beaufort, gathered to celebrate Mass and share morning tea to farewell Fr Ed Moloney before he commence his new role in the Our Lady of Mercy and Peace, Heartland – Parish of Craters, Mountains, Lakes, and Plains – Communities of Camperdown, Cobden, Lismore, Mortlake, Simpson, Terang, Timboon in November,
Before sharing a lovely morning tea, Fr Ed blessed our new ramp. This new ramp will be a safe addition to the Parish Centre for our Catholic community and the wider Beaufort community.
It was a grand little gathering, consisting of a broad range of ages. It was a special treat to have so many young ones…. and a special birthday cake to share with our friend, Maureen.
We took the opportunity to thank Fr Ed for keeping an eye out for us throughout his time at the Cathedral. He was thanked for his support and care as we transitioned to the Cathedral Parish. Mention was made of the fact that every time we had Fr Ed for Mass, he always left us with great messages of how to live our daily lives in a faith-filled way.
