Pope Leo XIV has released his first teaching letter, an encyclical titled Magnifica humanitas. Addressed to all humanity, it is a reflection on what it means to protect and preserve human dignity in the age of artificial intelligence.
Vatican releases Pastoral Kit to help unpack Magnifica Humanitas
The Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development has made available a pastoral proposal with resources aimed at facilitating the understanding and in-depth analysis of the Encyclical. The Kit contains a simplified summary of Magnifica Humanitas that proposes for each chapter: a brief synthesis; some citations from the Document; questions for personal and community reflection; suggestions for a practical and experiential approach; relevant biblical texts; some review questions; and a closing prayer. In the kit is also a proposal for activities for young people and children.
Each chapter offers:
- a summary of the main themes;
- biblical texts and quotes for meditation;
- personal and community questions;
- concrete experiences;
- moments of examination and prayer.
