The Council of Religious in the Diocese of Ballarat generally meet a couple of times a year, ending with the celebration of Mass in November followed by a luncheon at Nazareth House attended by Religious from around the Diocese. This gathering is an occasion of giving thanks for another year of ministry and also praying for those who have died in the past year.

This year, due to coronavirus, the Council decided it would be best not to hold the celebration but still wanted to connect so Bishop Paul has written a letter to the Religious of the Diocese as a way of keeping in touch while not being able to have the usual Mass and Lunch with Religious.
