Merging of Parishes
Bishop Mark Freeman decreed that the parishes of Apollo Bay, Colac and Cororooke become Emmaus Catholic Parish, Colac, Lakes to Coast. This took effect on July 1, 2026.
Our Community
The Emmaus Catholic Parish is a community of believers, who strive to bring Christ’s good news to the people of Colac, Lakes to Coast. Through service, caring and love we aim to create an environment of respect and understanding in which every one can grow.
Loved and chosen by God, we are the communities of Apollo Bay, Birregurra, Colac, Coragulac, Lorne and Pirron Yallock.
Through Baptism, we share responsibility for continuing the mission of Jesus. We are called to be a community who foster and support the gifts given to each by the Spirit. We are sent to make Christ visible in our world through the Eucharist, proclamation of the Word and sevice to all God’s people.
Parish Planned Giving
Be a part of the Planned Giving Program to ensure the financial survival and future growth of your parish.
The Planned Giving Program is the major source of income for the parish. Your financial contribution will ensure we continue to manage the ongoing and increasing expenses in our parish, including, pastoral programs, insurance, wages, utility rates and church maintenance.
To ensure a regular and reliable income for the parish, we request you to make a periodic pledge either, weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Your considered financial gift will make an enormous difference to continuing the work the parish.
