Bishop Mark Freeman has established by decree on 1^st July 2026 two new parish entities:

1. Our Lady of Mercy and Peace, Heartland Parish of Craters, Mountains, Lakes, and Plains (formerly Hampden, Timboon and Camperdown Parishes);
2. Emmaus Catholic Parish: Colac, Lakes to Coast (formerly Colac, Cororooke and Apollo Bay Parishes).

Fr George Kuruvila has been appointed Parish Priest of Our Lady of Mercy and Peace, Heartland Parish of Craters, Mountains, Lakes, and Plains.

Fr Andrew Hayes was been appointed as Parish Priest of Emmaus Catholic Parish: Colac, Lakes to Coast. 

These appointments are effective immediately.
