Prayers of the Faithful

CELEBRANT: In union with all God’s family in heaven and on earth, let us pray for the world to be made new.

 

LEADER:

Let us pray in communion with all the saints and martyrs.  We bring before you all our needs, trusting that you will hear them, as we pray.

God of Saints, make your church a holy church, a praying church, a giving church, a serving church.

God of Peace, we pray that those in authority may follow the example of the saints who worked for peace and love.

God of Compassion, bring healing and hope to those who grieve, suffer pain or have been affected in any way by COVID-19.

God of Justice, let us not be impatient under our own burdens and unconcerned about the burdens of others.

God of Inspiration be with our University and Year 12 Students during their Exams.

God of Life.  We pray for those who died recently Peter Darward, Ray Matthews, Marjery Allan, Gretchen Brownlie, Olyimpio Gomes, Brother Eamon O’Brien (CBC 1958-1960, 1986-1990), Colleen (McCluskey) Lewis, Maureen Archbold, Irene Donne and those whose anniversaries we honour Georgie Spetch, Sr M Alphonsus Russell, Kevin Walsh, and all our loved ones who have died.
