We pray for Pope Francis and all his fellow bishops, that like the Baptist they will devote themselves to making Christ known.

We pray for all scripture scholars, teachers and translators, that their service of God’s word will yield a world-wide harvest of faith.

We pray for the people of America.  May Peace and Harmony reign during their current troubles.

We pray for all who have been baptised in Christ, that they will hold fast, to the freedom that is theirs as the children of God.

We pray for those who live out their baptism in marriage and family life, that they will enjoy the guidance of God’s loving Spirit in their hearts and homes.

We pray for those who live out their baptism as single people, that their lives will be a leaven of justice, mercy and peace in the world.

We pray for those who live out their baptism in the ordained ministry, that they will be faithful ministers of world and sacrament.

We pray for those who live out their baptism in the consecrated life, that their gift of self for the sake of the kingdom will make known the mystery of Christ.

We pray for those who live out their baptism who play leading roles in education, health care, social service and justice, that they will be blessed in their mission with all the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

We pray for the recently deceased Helen Goss, Xavier Jeronimo, Jake Beidson (NZ), Patricia Martin, Frank Bowman, Jhoy Buana, Clare Ryan, Fr Frank Hart, Colleen Pronk and for those whose anniversary of death occurs around this time Bernie Gleeson, Father Kirby, Milan Maglica.
