Evangelise +

The Bishops Commission for Evangelisation, Laity and Ministry (BCELM) has launched a new online resource designed to enable more people to easily access formational Australian Catholic video content.

Evangelise Plus is a video resource library that will host a range of audiovisual content from various Catholic events and initiatives, bringing the material to a wider audience in an effort to inspire, form and encourage viewers in their faith life.

Liturgical Cycles

Proclaim Conference 2018

The Brisbane Archdiocese hosted the national Proclaim Conference from 12-14 July. PROCLAIM 2018 focused on inspiring, equipping and encouraging parishes and Catholic communities to engage in Evangelisation and Renewal. The theme of this year’s Conference was “Make your home in me” (Jn 15:4). More info is available here.

Mystery and Mission: The Art of Liturgical Celebration – September 28-30, 2023

The National Liturgy and Liturgical Music Conference was held at the Brisbane Hilton from September 28 – 30: Mystery and Mission: The Art of Liturgical Celebration. International keynote presenters were Sarah Hart, one of the leading figures in contemporary Catholic music, and Dr Timothy O’Malley, professor of liturgical-sacramental theology and academic director of the Notre Dame Centre for Liturgy (USA). These international guests were joined by acclaimed local presenters: Rev Dr Tom Elich, liturgist and Director of Liturgy Brisbane, and Dr Maeve Louise Heaney VDMF, theologian and composer.  In addition to these keynote presenters, there were more than 50 workshops on offer across the three days. The Journey is a weekly program developed by the Catholic Diocese of Wollongong aired on a growing number of Christian Radio Stations around Australia. The Journey includes a variety of weekly inputs including Wisdom from the Abbey with Sr Hilda Scott & Bruce Downes the Catholic Guy inspires you to Dream. There are great tips for vibrant marriages, a section on Healthy Christian Living, and a segment on parenting. Each week, there is a reflection on the Sunday Gospel reading.
